The Village of Blissfield does not provide free garbage pickup. You may hire an independent contractor, or tags may be purchased at the Village Office at 10 tags for $9.50.
The Village of Blissfield offers bi-weekly collection of curbside recycling. This service is available as a subscription service for all village residents, businesses and organizations. The subscription runs for a 12-month period from October 1 through September 30. Once signed up for service, a 95-gallon container will be dropped off to resident for placement of recyclables. Residents can subscribe to this service by filling out a form and paying a fee at the Village office.
Brush Pickup (Weather Permitting)
March-October: 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of the month.
Leaf Pickup (Weather Permitting)
Usually done for about 6 weeks, typically beginning in late October.
M, TU - south of U.S. 223 and east of the river
W - north of U.S. 223 and east of the river
Th - north of U.S. 223 and west of the river
F - south of U.S. 223 and west of the river
Please rake leaves to the curb, not into the street.
Keep leaf piles away from utility poles, signs, trees, and guy wires.
Do not mix leaves with brush and garden materials.
Street Sweeping (Weather Permitting)
Trees on public land and within the public right-of-way
includes all public streets and sidewalks in the Village.
Usually done twice per week, late may through mid September
